Church Wedding Photography
HOWARD LUCAS Photographer.
Church Wedding photography – Church weddings come in all shapes and sizes and as a church wedding photographer in Cornwall and beyond, with over 10 years’ experience, I can honestly say that each one is different and very special. From tiny village churches in picturesque villages, to market town churches in the centre of town and even cathedral weddings in the heart of city life, each and every church is special to the bride and groom and their families for different reasons.
Something not many people realise about church weddings, is that for a church wedding photographer they are very often a gift. The architecture and positioning of every church is done with the greatest consideration of the light, in order to give the greatest glory to God and to inspire the congregation – perfect conditions for a wedding photographer!
In July I was thrilled to photograph the Isle of Purbeck wedding of Holly and Ian. I am always thrilled to photograph a wedding on home turf and the Bride and Groom made their vows at St James Church, Kingston on a beautifully sunny (if a little windy) day.
Claire and Stuart set their beautiful wedding at Milton Abbey in Dorset; a breathtaking Abbey and Boarding School in Milton Abbas, just outside of Blandford Forum….
A really brilliant day was had by all at Bella and Charlie’s excellent Studland, Isle of Purbeck wedding, as is certainly evident in their wedding photos……
It had rained heavily all week. Like most weeks. Happily come Saturday it was a glorious day.
